| Who is the CHUM Club |
| CHUM - City of Houston Underwater Mariners Well, our mantra is Drinkers with a Diving problem, but as you explore the site you'll find we are far more than that. CHUM Club was found by a group of divers from all level of certifications and experience to promote diving in Texas and share our experience from around the world. We invite you to register and join our discussion groups so you to can share your experience. Many of us are taking on the new adventure of technical diving, follow along in the forums and photo gallery to be created soon to see how we are doing and join in the adventure. |
| CHUM Club Rules of Usage |
We do ask that the forums / website not be used for commercial activity or to promote events of other dive clubs/organizations or scuba-related businesses without express written permission of either the CHUM President or Vice President. Any such posts will be removed immediately. Repeated infringements may result in the banning of the user id involved at the discretion of the CHUM Board of Directors. All trips must be approved in writing by either the President or Vice President before the trip is posted in the forums. The CHUM logo is exclusive property of CHUM/City of Houston Underwater Mariners. Any use without specific written permission from the CHUM Board of Directors is prohibited. |
| Where and when are the monthly meetings? |
Once a month, we have a meeting with a speaker or program of some sort. The meetings are held the third Thursday of each month (except December) at Stag's Head Pub, 2128 Portsmouth, Houston 77098. We'll be in the Oak Room in the back. Everyone's welcome - members, guests, family, friends, and even that guy who gave you an o-ring last time you were diving. The "official" part of the meeting starts at 7:30 pm, but people usually trickle in about 7:00ish to chat with people and get their orders in for food and beverages.
