Travel to Argentina
Effective December 28, citizens of the U.S., Canada and Australia are required to pay an entry fee when arriving at Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE). U.S. citizens will be charged $131 USD that will be valid for multiple entries over 10 years. Canadian citizens will be charged $70 USD per entry and Australian citizens will be charged $100 USD per entry. For complete details on the new entry fee, please visit argentina.usembassy.gov

Although my better half could have avoided this by showing the Brazilian passport instead of the American one.
Because I think the other two are safe.

Thanks for the info Mark- won't affect us, being of the Brit persuasion, but I'll pass it onto the rest of the group.

OK, so we are now just one week before the off and the preparations are getting intense. This is one trip where everything has to work - any backups have to come with us. This has been in the pipe for almost two years now, and it now seems that there's just not enough time to get everything done.

So much for Einstein, time is only relative in terms of proximity to dive trips....

Getting overexcited now!!!

Default And they're off - 03-02-2010, 03:38 PM

Tomorrow is the big day - we are in mid packing frenzy and staring at the mountain of gear that needs to somehow be packed. Think it's going to be a 3-bagger trip, plus camera gear, plus a day bag.

Could be worse, the DUI guys went down with 478 lbs of gear between two of them.....

Anyway, we will try and update while on the trip, but while we're on the boat itself, we'll be off the grid. But we should be back in Buenos Aires for St Paddy's day, so start looking for first pics around then. (Well, maybe the day after St Paddy's day...)

See you guys when we get back. It's going to be a trip.

Right, I'm off to say hi to Shamu.

You guys have an arrrrsome time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dive.

Diving is life. The rest is just a surface interval.
