2010's in full swing and CHUMmers are starting to jet off to the far corners of the globe with their dive gear and cameras. Let's make this a banner year for the
CHUM Gallery.
On a couple of CHUM trips this year, we're going to have a mini photo contest. (No, not for small pictures... it's just not our annual Calendar Competition.) We'll announce which ones as the dates get close.
How does it work? Easy.
Step 1 - Take photos on the trip.
Step 2 - Upload them to the Gallery. We'll have a section set up for each of these trips. We'll announce a deadline for uploading for the contest, usually a week or two after the end of the trip.
Step 3 - Send me the
link for
two of the pictures you uploaded that you'd like to submit to the mini contest for that trip.
Once the deadline arrives, we'll take the pictures that were submitted, and let the general membership vote in a poll to select their favorite.
The winning photo in that poll will be a "bonus entry" in the Calendar Competition later in the year.

How do I get my pictures in the calendar if I can't make it on one of the CHUM trips?"
Any
Tiger Shark can upload any of their photos in the Gallery and submit them to the big Calendar Competition in the fall.
Go on a trip, upload your pics to the
CHUM Gallery, then watch for the Calendar Competition announcement in the fall. Tiger Sharks can enter three of their photos (from any trip, with anyone, to anywhere, posted in the Gallery
after Nov 9th 2009) in the competition. Mini Photo Contest winners get a bonus entry.
Don't look for a "last call for Calendar Competition Entries" announcement or post. There won't be one.

If you go on a trip, get those pictures posted so they'll be eligible.
