Charging dive computers?

Discussion in 'Gear Gear Gear' started by Jen, Jul 21, 2018.

I dug through my old gear bag today, and found two dive computers. One is a Tusa Imprex and the other is an Uwatech Aladdin. The Tusa one turned right on, but the Uwatech looks like it's deader than disco. Does anyone have idea how to charge either one of these computers? Even though the Tusa one appears to be working, I'm doubtful as to how much longer the battery is going to last.

I would doubt either one can be charged, they probably run on lithium batteries, especially if one is still running. You may try to look up the model online and see if they are user serviceable. Some computer models require it to go to the shop to change batteries, others will have a twist off cap of some sort that allows you to switch batteries.

I'll see if I can find the model info and do some googling. I figured I can test out the Tusa one next weekend at the Blue Lagoon. But I am kinda thinking that even if it still works fine, it can't possibly have much life left in the battery.
