I am looking at possibly doing more tech training this year. Does anyone know of a good teacher and or shop in the houston area?

to give an idea of what I am shooting for.
caves do not interest me at this time, but the edmund fitzgerald is my main goal.

    so depth and time.

The girlfriend (+1) is interested in doing some training also.

I would like to hear from as many people as I can and see what route this takes us.

    Thank you all,
    Dave.

Better start schmoozing the Canadian government now.....unless things have changed in the last couple of years the EF is protected under the Ontario Heritage Act which requires an archeological license from the Canadian government to make that 500 foot dive or even run a sonar over it for that matter.

well, by the time I get all the proper training and build up the skills to the right level the laws might have changed. till then, lots of other good wrecks in the great lakes to look at.

Talk to Carl/Cave Diver. While his main target is to train cave divers, he can get you up to the top, or better said, the bottom of the tech ladder.

I have several dive buddies in the Great Lakes area..
Give me a shout if you want an introduction...

I second Dutch on giving Carl a call... One hell of a great instructor..
