This is a great idea - Thank you, Siren.

The five skills I commit to improving in 2011 are:
    1. Buoyancy and remaining calm when working on my buoyancy
    2. Overall awareness in the water
    3. Practice using the compass
    4. Diving in poor visibility
    5. Expanding my diving comfort zone

Look forward to focusing on these 5 skills in 2011 and helping other with theirs too! RP

to accomplish by this time, dec 3rd 2011:

    Goal #1: GUE - Fundamentals
    Goal #2: GUE - Tech 1
    Goal #3: ARC - CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor
Goal #4: DAN - O2 for Scuba Diving Injuries Instructor
Goal #5: HSA - Dive Buddy

... its going to be a busy (and expensive) year. the cost of the above training alone is $5k. so, no big trips for me outside texas and florida :( but i would like to hit dive number 200 before july!

    My 2011 goals are...

    1. Buoyancy and trim.
    2. Get AOW cert.
    3. Become very comfortable with basic dive skills
    4. Explore more Dive site with Chum
    5. Become a Aquarena Springs dive volunteer

If I get all that done I will be very happy!!!

This is awesome, this means there will be plenty of dives for us to practice all this.

    - Workout/shapeup to improve sac
    - navigation skills
    - I want rock solid buoyancy in drysuit

I'm also seriously thinking about rebreather as anything I really want to do is in the 100ft range.

if you get #5 done, #1 and #3 will follow naturally. but be aware, aquarena is closing for MAJOR renovations this year, so dive it while you can! several instructors also use the "submarine theater" at aquarena to teach #2. its a great place to do your night/salvage dives.
