Can't get enough specialties? Here's one more for you.

Through an exclusive Aggressor Fleet live-aboard program, divers can learn about our diverse coral reef ecosystems, support future research and earn a Reef Ambassador Specialty Certification.

    ...

During the Reef Ambassador course, divers will learn about the relationships between key marine organisms, the value of reefs to humans, threats to their health and the role that divers can play to preserve the marine environment.

It sounds like the material, if covered properly, is something every ocean diver should be taught. I'm not sure if you need to spend $150 and get a card to educate yourself, though.

Unless it includes the live-aboard trip. :D

Interesting class but yeah, after shelling out the dinero for an Aggressor trip, I'm not sure I'd be too crazy about spending $150 to get another piece of plastic for my wallet...

If you know an instructor who wants to do it, he/she too can put together a curriculum, submit it to PADI for acceptance and then teach almost any specialty that you can imagine.
