Second time is a Sharm - Nov 5-12, 2023

Departure delayed until 22:40. I noticed they had some major issues a few days ago and had to cancel a lot of flights.

I'm still planning on leaving for the airport pretty soon. Sometimes flights get un-delayed, and you've still gotta be at the gate on time.

We’re first to Sharm. The rest are overnighting in Istanbul. Flight was delayed 90 minutes but all else went smoothly. It’s 3am and lying in bed, nitey night.

Right behind you, we are getting ready for cab ride back to Istanbul airport and morning flight to Sharm. I anticipate cocktails on the beach for lunch

Late dinner in Sultanahmet last night. The kebabs were quite tasty. Also, I can't sleep. It's 4:30 am, and I'm wide awake. Ugh.

 

[Red Sea Diver]

My son Matthew and I just returned last week from a week of dives at Camel. It was his first visit and almost tenth for me. He’s now spoiled!

I finally admired my first clear Hammerhead sighting at Gordon Reef. Alas, my four years of frequent Red Sea dives are over as I return home from Saudi Arabia.

Our annual CHUM calendars is where we can showcase the collective talents of our members. Trip and event photos are the visual history of the club and lets us go back 10 years from now to re-live the trip. Plus, they may make a CHUMmer enthused about signing up for the next club trip
