Well, this weekend has NOT gone as planned. First, my hair appointment yesterday ended running super late, so I didn't make it to yesterday's show. I thought no big deal, I'll just go to the Sunday show. Then I got home, and discovered that Ellie and Callie had conspired to get into the compost bin while I was gone. The compost bin had a bunch of chicken bones and some onion scraps in it, which were presumably all eaten by Ellie. ER vet said that the bones should dissolve, but she may have some vomiting and diarrhea. So far she's fine, but I don't know if she'll stay that way. So I will likely be staying home to keep an eye on my idiot dog.
That’s a shame.
Some good videos yesterday, and back for more today.

The two days of short films were generally excellent with a wide variety across the categories. For those that did not make it, I recommend buying the on-demand ticket and catching them there. I think they get posted next week.

The event was well organized by HUPS and supported by a committee and team of volunteers. These covered the preparations, viewings & selections, the advertising & outreach, the activities at MATCH downtown, including the raffle prizes, introductions, voting, awards and buffet. Not to mention the social across the road at the Holman Draft Hall.

I bought a few raffle tickets on both days since there were some great prizes, and I had some success last year. This year I picked up a book by Janavi Folmsbee which looks great (even the box it came in is a collectible).
