I believe there is still room. The best way to know is to register on the portal.

USE THE LINK IN POST #1 OF THIS THREAD TO REGISTER!!

For dues, you can also use Zelle, cash, or check. If using either of the latter two, tomorrow’s happy hour or the meeting on Thurs the 16th are both good opportunities to do that.

Our roster officially shows as “full” but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get on the trip. As long as there are unclaimed spots on the boat, we can sell them. The best way to know is to use the booking link in post #1. If the portal lets you register, you’re in.

Well I blinked and now May is right around the corner.

For those of you who put down a deposit on this trip rather than paying the full amount, Fling policies state that bookings less than 30 days from departure must be paid in full. 30 days will be here before we know it. I would encourage you to go ahead and make the payment for any balance due sooner rather than later.

It took me the better part of a day to sort out some quirks with the boat staff. That may have fixed it for everybody, but you never know. You'll be looking for a green "make a payment" button on a receipt email for the trip. It may say that it came from Chum with a FareHarbor email addr. If you can't find that, contact the Fling. PM me if you need their contact info. Don't lose your spot on the trip! Wrap up those payments pronto.

I was able to apply the refund for my cancelled March Stetson/Kraken trip as a 'gift card'.

So I am starting to think about what I will wear below the waves on this trip coming up. Last summer / fall it was a nice 82 or so at the bottom; I have not been this early in the year.

I can't get the Current Conditions map to work but there is a buoy not far away that is and as of today the water temperature just six feet below the surface is a rather brisk 75.6 °F. I imagine 80 feet down won't be any warmer than that - any thoughts on what we might be looking at? 72 down there maybe? (I'm def gonna be in my dry suit if so!)

I meant to look in my logbook last night for past temps but it completely slipped my mind.

Looking at the Trip Reports thread, here are some historical temps I found from FG trips around the same time of year:
June 3-5 '22 - 79 degrees at FGB, 76-78 at Stetson
May 13-15 '06 - 77 at FGB, Stetson had temps of 75

I originally purchased 2 spots for the trip (1 thru CHUM and the other directly through Fling) and now my buddy can't go. So there is a spot available. I thought I would put it out to the CHUMers first before opening it to the general public. I won't open to the general public until next Friday.

So if you know of someone who's interested please contact me.

Is this still available? I am traveling for a business trip that week and not sure if I'll be back in time for it. I'd love to join if I could make it on time.

It is still available. Since it’s already paid for and I’m outside the MV Fling refund window I’m needing to get it sold quickly and very soon I will be offering it up to outside the CHUM world.
