I will be there!!! (no plus one) and will bring either a spicy greek labneh dip or my 'special salad' (just pesto tortellini salad but it's special because I make it hahaha) any preferences on either dip or pasta salad?

As usual, Tiger Sharks get in FREE. On top of that, the club is picking up the first two drinks for each TS.

You say you want to bring a guest? We want you to, as well!
With that in mind, for Nurse Sharks, friends, family, coworkers, roommates, dive buddies, people you just met in line at Spec's, etc there is NO COST to attend. However, there are no free drinks for those folks. They're welcome to start a tab at the bar while they bask in the presence of happy CHUMmers. Please include the number of guests who will be with you when you rsvp. If you want to add more later, just let us know in a new post. It helps us to know how many plates, napkins, etc to plan for.

We welcome (but don't require) anybody in attendance to join in our festive CHUM Holiday Party traditions:

The pot luck buffet
If you're so inclined, please bring a dish to share with everyone. It can be a delicious and/or creative dish that you whip up in your kitchen or you can pick up something at HEB on the way to the party. We're not a group that's hard to please when it comes to food. In 19 years, I can't think of anybody that's left the party hungry.

CHUM's infamous White Elephant / Shark gift exchange
This is usually the highlight of the evening.
Please keep these things in mind if you’d like to participate:
- Please keep gifts under $25.
- Wrap them before arriving.
- NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL. This is important y’all. Neither for consumption nor as gifts. TABC could come down on the brewery for violations, and we want to be invited back next year. Gift cards from Spec's, Total Wine and such work nicely as a substitute
- This is a fun exchange and as a result, some of the gifts are gag gifts. Please accept the gift you get with good humor and if necessary, steal wisely when the opportunity arises, as any good pirate would do!

Major awards & announcements
At the party each year we announce the winners of Diver of the Year and Photographer of the Year.
Photographer of the Year is determined by the calendar contest.

We also traditionally hear a few words from each of our candidates for CHUM officer positions.
This time around, we'll be hearing from the candidates for Vice President and Treasurer.
Who will the candidates be? You get to have a say! Nominate someone(s) and then come to the party to find out who's on the ballot.

We're going to have food, booze, silly gifts, and drunken speeches. What more could you ask for? It's going to be epic, and you don't want to miss it!

So, who's ready to paaaaarty???

Well CHUMmers, looks like y’all are going to have a great turnout tonight. I hope everyone has a blast! I’m bummed that I can’t be there with you, but I’ll stroll across the street to my local tap house wearing my CHUM shirt this evening and raise a glass in y’all’s honor.
