Might as well add us to the list of *potential* 2026 DAM CHUMMERS. This will be our SIXTH year going for it.

Dives logged in JANUARY:
6 dives in Sint Maarten (Jan. 13th, 14th, and 15th)
9 dives in Martinique (Jan. 26th-31st)

Dives logged in FEBRUARY:
6 dives in Martinique (Feb. 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th)

We decided we should at least TRY to think we are going to accomplish this since we have already logged dives in January and February and I know we are diving in March because of the COMAL TRIP!!!! :D

Once you've knocked out the two hardest months, gotta go for it. By the time December rolls out you'll have too much invested to let it slide by.

Capt. Dougie got February done with 2 dives in Key Largo with Rainbow Reef Dive center. Me and Scotty D would have done another 2 dives with one of these being Spiegel Grove but we got blown out on the way to the dive site. Which was okay because the waves were already 6-8 feet and were just going to get bigger once we got to the site. So we made up for it by going to Miami Beach and gawking at the tourists - wait that's us.

Btw - don't tempt the parking gods by thinking only 10 minutes late on the parking window will be okay > That was a $400 bad decision not to add time to the virtual meter. Ugh. The tow truck operators are ruthless and I swear have a direct link to the Park Mobile app that tells them when time is up.

Pm dive 53 minutes at 3 to 4 ft, went down stream to the park and back hoping for treasure. No luck

March ticked off at Woods Hole, MA.
40 min with a max depth of 39’ and a brisk 39F. Picked up a bay scallop to munch afterwards and a beer bottle that turned out to be from the 1950s. Another diver found a bottle from the 1800s.

April done early with a rather windy dive at Loblolly Cove, Rockport MA. Tide coming in and a brisk North East wind meant lots of surf pushing you back towards shore.

35 min at 39F, only 15’. By the time we’d battled through the surf to the drop-off one of my buddies signaled a leaky dry suit so time to head back. Next time.

I should have taken a photo - it’s a pretty spot with two light houses.

April dive in the bag for Legobloxs and myself. A 90 minute plus dive at Spring Lake. There’s no flow in Cream of Wheat atm . The aquifer must be very low and I can’t see it getting any better unless they get a substantial recharge.

We then grabbed our cameras for a quick stroll around the boardwalk before meeting Reefhound and Watermonkee in the parking lot as they got ready for their dive.

Reefhound and watermonkee did April in Kettlemanm Archaelogy, and Deep Hole. Solid algae cover but we exposed some sand and rock for the tourists. It was a dive that almost didn't happen. Last dive was Cozumel and I remove the transmitters from regs to carry on the plane. Left computers and transmitters back in Houston this morning resulting in gaping holes in regs. I had one spare plug and here comes Simon, of course he has enough parts to rebuild a fleet of regs and so our day was saved.
