Flower Gardens in 2026

The Fling is having a Black Friday sale that I'm planning to take advantage of and was wondering if the Grand oh Wise Club Board of Directors have identified CHUM Flower Garden trip weekends for 2026?

Also since I don't have that thing called a job, I like to take advantage of the 3 day extended Fling trips. These start Sunday night (except for Memorial Day weekend when it starts Friday) and return on Wednesday. Curious if there is much interest in these trips or if the club has done these in the past. I refer to these 3 day trips as - 11 dives for the price of 7.

The short answer is that the BOD has not yet looked at dates for 2026 on the Flower Gardens.
We will be getting to this soon but the dates should be around the warmer weather season....

The club always has at least one trip booked per year and sometimes more however the weather does not always cooperate and typically 2 out of 3 trips get blown out. My last trip had a voucher rolled-over twice & third time lucky. There are also trips organized by members on the buddy board and usually get a good response.
We have usually booked weekend trips since most are still stuck with the work-thing, and I think we'd likely stick with that (TBD). We have also booked 3-day holiday weekends for up to 11 dives instead of 7 however these are priced higher (I have not seen them at the same price). I don't remember a club trip mid-week other than trips on the buddy board, but I could be mistaken.
The Fling has run several mid-week trips on the Kraken and/or rigs which have received good support. :cool:

We will have at least one 2026 Fling Trip. If you have specific dates in mind let us know or proceed to post them on the Buddy Board now to garner interest. :)

I skipped the Blue Lagoon dive today; waiting for it to warm up a bit more......

Looking forward to getting booked for a Flower Gardens Trip soon as the summer season starts. I'll have a bit more time available...........

yes - I was planning to speak with you at HUFF to get the ball rolling since the May 22nd trip was already booked out, and I don't see others pending.

My personal preference would be Sunday June 14th since the World Cup Haiti v Scotland soccer game is on the Saturday night June 13th. Happy to move forward on this if it works.

(As an aside it looks like there is a Fling trip to Stetson & Kraken on Wed May 20th, also mid-week. However, it might be too soon, and I'm sure it'll come round again soon enough.)

OK Sunday June 14th it is. I'll go ahead and book a bunk. Should we use the CHUM link for this still? I copied and modified this one based on previous links.

ok great. :) I'll book today for 14th which is a 3-night 11-dive trip.
I'm not sure that the link has any benefits any more with the new owners (Andy) at the Fling (?) but no harm using it.

Did this work out in your favor using the link? Just wondering so we can save others money. Price of trips has gone up a lot over the past few years so every penny counts!

While it did bring me to the area to book I don't think it actually does anything (previously there was a refund to CHUM I think). Probably something to ask Andy / Fling team about.
