It was a great trip.. awesome diving, calm seas, and the best company.. Happy I got to meet a few more Chummers :) .. @McLOT, lower those expectations.. I still have a lot to learn with this new camera.. I may have one of two good shots from the 250 that I took... lolol

I added some photos to the media gallery but mislabeled at least one and can't seem to edit any after clicking save - any way for me to do that?

You *should* be able to Butch but for some reason you can't for the moment - I need to open a support ticket to see if this can be resolved by the folks we pay to handle this kind of thing.

I have added more photos to the media folder, as above.

The conditions were very good, so I decided not to take any Dramamine. Instead of snoozing thru the trip as usual, it meant I did not get much sleep on the first night, and then crashed on Saturday night and some of Sunday afternoon.

My first two dives were pretty average with not a lot to see but viz and current were good so no complaints. There was a Manta on the periphery on Saturday but I could barely see it. Loads of sharks around the platform dive (yay!) and several large jacks came charging thru at one point. Tons of Barracuda on the safety stops, and a few sharks on entry for one of the dives but I didn't get a worthwhile scene on my GoPro. There were a few rays at Stetson but I did not see any big stuff off the wall.
Seven good dives to celebrate 4th July weekend. The boat was not full so not too crammed. Water temperatures were 86F at surface and 84F at depth, with a warm 82F at Stetson.

I heard that the previous weekend had someone come up from 80' with little air after dropping their camera and going back to retrieve it, but this did not feature in our safety briefing and I have not heard the whole story. In the debriefing summary at the end of our weekend, the crew mentioned that there had been a few "rescues" but I did not see any mishaps or problems and maybe they were equipment failures rather than issues in the water? Anyone add any detail to this?

One of the divers on the trip has signed-up to CHUM so welcome @scubadrone - looks like a few good photos posted on the media folder. I think there was another signed-up but I did not catch the name. For both divers new to CHUM, please feel free to introduce yourselves on this thread.

Glad to get my Flower Gardens fix in this summer and may look to go again before the end of the season........
