So CHUMers, here's the deal. I bought this trailer about 2 weeks ago. I took it from Houston to College Station and back once time (total distance driven around 175 miles) and realized it is a bit smaller than what i need. I cannot return it because i have already registered it with the DMV. Therefore, it already has plates and the registration is good through August 2010. I have the title and will sign it over to the buyer when payment is made. I will also give you a bill of sale. The spare tire is not included as it will fit the other trailer i plan on buying, but if you must have it, add $50 (i paid $45.95 plus tax), and ill just get another one. This would be great for hauling scuba tanks and gear around locally, or for a longer trip down to Chorpus or even Florida.
Specifications are as follows:
-DOT certified tires, rims, tail lights, fenders and safety chains
-4.80" x 12" tires
-Three leaf spring suspension
-1-7/8" ball hitch receiver
-1090 lb. carrying capacity (lots of scuba gear!)
-Overall dimensions: 78" L x 52-1/2" W x 19" H
-Bed dimensions: 48" L x 42" W
-Frame already has square holes for side rails to be inserted and bolted on
-Trailer weight is around 150 pounds without the spare tire
When i assembled it, i also added the following:
-3/4" plywood decking
-4 eye screw tie downs bolted to the frame
-steel threaded bar on back corners for easy viewing of the trailer since it is fairly short
If you have any questions or would like to see it in person, please feel free to email or PM me. I am located a few miles from Willobrook mall (W FM 1960 and Hwy 249) in the Northwest Houston area.
Price is $250 or $300 with the spare tire. That is $25 less than i have it advertised elsewhere. As an added bonus for CHUM members, if you purchase the material, i will build the side rails for you so none of your goodies fall off the trailer (supplies should run around $30).
