When/where does your club meet each month? Bring me a t-shirt because its been about 3 months since my last dive and I'm thinking i'll join up if you feel I'm qualified and I'm not an asshole.

We have plenty of humor here, some even say we're a joke.

In the Main forum there are a few Sticky threads at the top that contain the information you most need to know. Especially the Upcoming Events thread, which also contains locations, times, and map to our monthly drink.. I mean, meetings. In short, 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm at Stag's Head Pub. No meeting in December though.

We have tons of great diving about two hours away. Go to the airport, grab a Continental flight, and in two hours you're in Cozumel or Cayman. As for "local" diving, there are a few ponds where we get wet. No shore/beach diving here but we take day trips to the rigs and there are liveaboard trips to Flower Gardens. Two or three hours drive gets us to a half dozen other sites around the state.

Welcome....I am in the DFW area so sorta of an outsider to this nice group of folks......great divers in your area and places to go.
A few of us north Tx. dudes will be diving at Broken Bow in OK. this Sat.,,,deepish:110-130ffw/dark-trees/chilly waters...will be good. :)

Glad you found our little home on the net!

Well, you came to the right place to meet a bunch of local divers. We started this club 2 years ago, to promote local diving and to add a bit of entertainment to our surface intervals.

Just keep your eyes out for the buddy board...though there are quite a bit of fair weather divers around here, others of us are willing to brave the cool texas waters in the winter...just let us get over the holidays first!

Please pull up a seat and stay a while!!

Hi all

Hi everyone........

I've been lurking around for some time now and decided to join up. The pics of Buluga in the Jello were what made me cross over........

In a nutshell, I'm basically a recreational diver; I'll go anyplace with 'island' in its name. For years, I'd dive each year on vacation, then I stopped diving and about 2 years ago, I started diving again. (and yes, I took SB's refresher course before that first dive). I've always loved the water and was pretty much hooked from the beginning.

I'm looking forward to coming to the meetings and seeing some buddies and getting to know some new ones.......

What about 1000 Islands? Welcome to the chaos. I made a halloween costume once based off a costume I saw in Exotic Cabarret calle the "Heidi Ho"... I was a beer wench that year....

whats up i've been in houston for 2 years now because of work. i am currently a commercial diver working in the gulf. i've been diving for about 7 years and am a padi dm/nitrox and naui master diver. i've some work with students and did some tec and wreck stuff. somewhat a jack of all master of none. haven't done much scuba since moving to houston. i was offshore for over 275 days in '06 so time is hard to come by but i hope to do some this year
