Hi all.. I have been a member for alomost a week now.. Should I feel any different?? I met a few of ya'll at seaspace over the weekend.. Im looking forward to attending my first social hour with everyone.. A little about me.. Im a former Marine OOORAH!!!! The NAVY actually taught me to dive and paid me to do it.. Idiots.. They though it was work when I was having fun the whole time.. They dropped us of in the most remote spots.. Those stories are for another time.. I didnt dive for several years after the military because I was in a bad motorcycle accident.. In 2000 I was given my PADI OW Cert.. I then persued my advanced, rescue and Dive master with a couple other certifications.. Im currently helping a buddy of mine teach classes for the Continental airlines dive club.. I hate the fact that I get to fly free to take students to CZM to certify them.. Someone has to do it.. With these special flight benifits i have been to some great diving spots and plan to see more.. I wanted to go diving with ya'll in a couple weeks but the MS 150 is the same weekend and its too good a cause to miss the ride.. Next time though.. I look forward to meeting more dive buddies.. I would have joined earlier but someone (Rockfish) didnt let any of his dive buddies know about the club.. Im just giving him crap..

Tiger Sharks pay $25/year for full membership - gets you a free CHUM T-shirt (if available), discounts on trips, and first call on some of the special trips - eg we'll open up limited space trips first to Tigers, then open them up to Nurse Sharks if space is still available.
You can pay via Paypal (go to UserCP, find the paid subscriptions link on theleft, and it's in there), or in person at any of the meetings or events.

Found out about ya'll thru the dive shop emails...vote for best in Houston. Just got certified October 2006, and already looking to get some specialties in this summer. Wanted to dive since I was a teenager, and I'm 35 now. Live in a little town east-northeast of Houston called Dayton. Looking to get my fins wet again real soon, work permitting. Glad to know there is somewhere to come and chat.
