Hi all,
I just moved to the Houston area ( I live in The Woodlands) from Calgary, Ab. Canada. I have been diving for almost 10 years, I am an avid Cave and technical deep diver. My highest lever of certifications are Advanced Trimix instructor and IDC staff instructor.
I am not very familiar with the area for local diving and scuba shops.
I am looking for a few divers to get out diving with also any recommendations on scuba shops?

Welcome aboard Tnemo! You've come to the right place. We have members ranging from newly-certified divers to several cave divers.

I just sent you a PM with some info.

If you're free on Thursday, come join us at our holiday party. It's always a great time, and a good way to meet the folks in the club.

Hello all,
My name is Fred and I just moved here from Wisconsin. I've spent the past few years diving on and around the Great Lakes. I was certified in 2003 but have been diving more regularly since 2006. I love dive travel but I'd love to check out some local diving. My level is somewhere between rec & tech. My highest level of certification is padi rescue diver. I've done some ice-diving and have dove some deeper dives beyond rec but only as far as I can safely do on air. And I love taking pictures of my dive travels: https://picasaweb.google.com/fwremers. In Wisconsin I was the captain of the MV Fog Ducker, a 27' Carver customized to dive the Great Lakes. I sure miss her! I was also the prez of a dive club for a year which was a whole lot of fun. I dive a variety of configurations and have a mini dive-shop in my garage, so if you're ever around Sugar Land and need an o-ring or something, look me up.

Dive safe!

Welcome, Fred, a.k.a. WaterWolf. I love the name of your boat in Wisconsin. That is awesome. I lived in Brookfield for a little bit, but was not a diver when I was up around the Great Lakes. Would love to hear some of your stories.

Please do come by our meeting this Thursday, at Stags Head Pub, and introduce yourself to our rowdy bunch. ;)

And thanks dutch, for pimping my Comal Trip. :p

Dutch -- they sure did! We had them introduce themselves to the club, since they have such an interesting story. We loved them. And I bought them a round on your behalf. Took a photo for you, too. :)

The name of the club was Deep Six Scuba: http://www.deepsixscuba.com/. There are actually several dive clubs around the Milwaukee area. No, I've never been up to Thunder Bay but I heard it's really nice. I've been up to Lake Superior a few times out of Munising Michigan but dove mostly on Lake Michigan on the Wisconsin side.
