not sure what your talking about we've had numerous people out on several different boats and they always seem to have a good time....for less than 2 bills.

ExtremeIslandAdventures Boat..

That boat does look really familiar...I too wonder what happened to Capt Sean. Guys, $250 may be pricey, but if the captain is good and knows diving, this boat is really sweet. I would seriously inquire as to the experiene of the captain with divers before I booked though...in my experience fishing boat captains don't really make good dive boat captains.

I've always said that the Houston area needs more day boats. There are plenty of great sites to go dive. I think the price of fuel vs the amount of money the diver is willing to pay have always gotten in the way. Trust me folks, there is little mark up in this arena. If you want to go dive the rigs, you have to be willing to pay for it, other wise, there will continue to be an issue with boats servicing these sites.

Sorry N, you know I love ya, but I have to disagree. $250.00 is too pricey to go rig diving in the Freeport Area. If divers shop around a bit (like where we have been going), they get just as great an experience for less cost.

I don't go rig diving to enjoy the boat ride, I go for the under water experience.

And I'm not trying to be cheap when it comes to my diving, but why pay $250 when you can have the same great dives for 75 bones less? Its just good economics. Save the money for the Nitrox fills or new equipment.

i didnt say that every boat was a pos. i was just saying that there are some boats that are out there that are not up to my standards. also, some people get sea sick on smaller boats and feel more comfortable on a larger boat. i personally dont get sea sick, but i am sure there are some people out there who do. i was offshore about a month ago and before we left the dock, i asked everyone if they got sea sick and everyone said no. before we reached the dive site 3 of the 6 were chummin.

What were the seas like? That will make a difference too.

Also, if you prepare for it, sea sickness can, for the most part be controlled. I suffer from sea sickness but unless things are really rockin and rollin drugs control it.
