I'm planning on going to Mt Sinai and spend the night there. Then off to Petra and maybe do some glamping in Wadi Rum preserve or a hotel in Aquaba or Taba. Then off to see the Dead Sea and Jerusalem...may fly from Tel Aviv...

Also I might go from Tel Aviv to the mainland and fly home from Alexandria or Cairo....just have to see how many weeks I can stay gone.I'm planning on going to Mt Sinai and spend the night there. Same. The Bedouin camps at St. Catherine and Wadi Rum are very affordable. There are tour bus companies that run daily from Aquaba to Wadi Rum and Petra. They also go to the Dead Sea and up that way of Isreal but I haven't begun yet to look at motels around Jerusalem.Still waiting to see what I can do. I wish I had miles to cash in…..
Looks like they do have lockers at the airport that you can store your stuff in. There's also a free tour of Istanbul that you may be able to take, depending on your layover. There's also a spa, where you can get a massage, take a shower, or take a nap in one of their resting rooms.Anybody know about luggage storage options in Istanbul?
You're welcome to join us for a few days in Israel.Still not sure what I want to do on this…….
