As many of you know Pee Wee Dwire passed away recently. He was the First VP of TGCC. As such we are looking for someone to assume this role.
The responsibilities are as follows
1. Be responsible for tracking of points for Neptune Award which is determined by attendance at sanctioned events. Unfortunately we were not able to issue the award this winter due to Pee Wee's illness.
2. Determine if anyone is eligible for TGCC Lifetime Achievement Award
Only real skill required is basic Excel knowledge
At this point we basically have 4 meetings a year two of which are generally electronic. The other two are the banquet and a meeting held in early July to review and approve scholarship applications.
As an officer one gets a vote on who is to receive scholarships. The July meeting is held at Bayland Center on generally the first Thursday of July(second this year due to holiday weekend)
