What are your top 3 "dream" encounters that you'd love to see on an upcoming dive trip? Select 3 from the list and then click "cast vote".

I've tried to list a lot of possibilities, but if there's one that didn't make the list, let us know what it is.

As always, chatter is good. Some would even say great! Post below and tell us more specifics about what you chose and why.

Damnit SB, you left off ... whale! I'd love to see a whale ... maybe not like super close. Close enough to admire how beautiful they are, but not so close to get whacked by their tail or something, because they don't notice me at all, because I am tiny and insignificant comparatively.

I know you can snorkel with whale sharks in some places, but that's not the same as encountering them on a dive.

I didn't pick bioluminescence, because I've already seen it in Roatan. But it was absolutely incredible, and I'd do that dive again in a heartbeat.

DISBYLO frogfish.

I've offered rewards to dive masters for finding one of these. I managed to see only my 2nd one at Stetson last fling trip. Was less than a minute from going into deco so didn't get a good look or pic.

Otherwise, I picked whale shark and leafy sea dragon. Never seen either.

Aaah, got ya on a technicality, DiverGent - "Rare fish" is on the list. But yeah, that (and each other suggestion) is a good one!

I saw a frogfish at Stetson many many years ago. Glad to know that they're still there!

Mr Google can not tell me what a Disbylo Frogfish is. Please satisfy my "meow" curiosity.. gotta know...what's different about it from other froggers?

I cast 'other' (mainly for kicks) but I would definitely love to see another sunfish (mola), they're such crazy looking fish and wobbly swimmers.

And I've never seen a thresher shark or great hammerhead, that would be cool.

I really need a fourth vote for a deep well-preserved great lakes shipwreck, or maybe if money, time and laws are no object: the Endurance.

Absolutely put me on the mola list. A buddy of mine that divemastered in the Outer Banks said there was one that hung around the one dive site all summer. I was so jealous.

The shark comment made me think of a 6-gilled shark. There's a place (PNW I believe) where an operator takes you to a place where they regularly come up out of the deep at night.
