Way back when, probably pre-CHUM, I had a fog-free mask that I loved. It had a special film on it that resisted fogging. Unfortunately the company went out of business and something broke on the mask, so I had to go back to a traditional mask and defog.

In the DEMA press releases this year, I noticed a couple of companies who are offering something similar - Seac and Salvimar.

Does anyone here have firsthand experience with the latest generation of anti-fog masks? (I had to laugh at Seac's claim of "the first antifog mask for diving and snorkeling." :p ) If so, what are your thoughts on them? Do they work well? How long have you been using yours? If you lost this one, would you buy another like it? Inquiring minds want to know!

I've never had a fog-free mask. Have a pretty solid routine with anti-fog gel I think.

I'd be interested to try a fog-free mask though...we'll see how they come along and what input comes back from our fellow CHUMmers.

I was a spit guy for the longest time, but we've moved on now in terms of hygiene, which is probably a good thing.
By far and away the best antifog I used was a sponge-stick applicator that I got as a door prize at a CHUM meeting years ago. Nothing better before, nothing better since. Can't remember the brand but they either never went forward with the product in the end or went out of business. So I couldn't buy any more.
