Nova: Extreme Cave Diving DVD

I just wanted to point out the Houston Public Library has a copy of Nova: Extreme Cave Diving.

REEP and I watched it a couple of nights ago and it is excellent. The program follows Dr. Kenny Broad as he and his team dive 6 blue holes. Wes Skiles is also the director of photography and has several interviews throughout the program.

If you are a member of Houston Public Library just request a hold at your local branch from this site: http://catalog.houstonlibrary.org/search~S1?/Xextreme%20cave%20diving&SORT=D/Xextreme%20cave%20diving&SORT=D&SUBKEY=extreme%20cave%20diving/1,2,2,B/frameset&FF=Xextreme%20cave%20diving&SORT=D&1,1,

I'm not sure if this is a new series or just some new episodes on The History Channel. But it looks pretty entertaining....anyone catch the first 2 last night?

The upcoming episode of Bizarre Foods features Jamaica.

That alone is good enough reason to set the DVR, but the trailer for the episode showed Andrew holding a lionfish, so it would be even better to see some of the little buggers being eaten.

It airs on the Travel Channel (Channel 254 for Uverse viewers) at 8:00 pm on the 19th.

On Sunday night at 7 pm, CNN Presents will be an episode titled "Hunting Down Sharks".

They had a teaser for it on CNN this morning and it looks like it'll be pretty good show. Set those DVRs!

Came across that a few weeks ago. They have it on Netflix instant watch. Really cool show.

Channel 8 is showing Extreme Cave Diving tonight at 8. It looks like it's airing again on the 16th at 7:00 pm if you want to set your DVR so you can record it while you're hanging out at Stag's ;)

There was a really cool documentary I found on netflix instant stream. It's gets quite graphic at times when they talk about he whaling industry so just a fair warning if that stuff gets to you. Really a good show though.

It's worth setting your DVR for Into the Drink. The new season starts on MATV this Wednesday, I believe at 5:30 pm. It's a scuba-focused travel show. I stumbled across the last episode of season one and am excited to see it coming back.

There's a documentary that looks pretty good (made by a 20-year-old Australian filmmaker) coming up on the Smithsonian Channel:

Shark Girl

It premiers Sunday, June 15th.

Does anybody with Uverse or Comcast want to invite me over, since my crappy cable company doesn't carry that channel? :(

Here's a Youtube video video by the same girl as a little teaser:

Late notice, but channel 11 (KHOU) will be airing an interview with the FGBNMS staff during tonight's news. It was filmed aboard the good ship Manta.

There's a new show on the Weather Channel that I stumbled across tonight called Catching Hell about commercial spearfishermen off the Gulf Coast of Florida.
