I have 23 minutes until September 1st - but luckily 24% and I completed our August dive in beautiful Lake Charlevoix, Michigan on August 25th. It was a shore dive off Depot Beach. This is the site of the old Charlevoix train station and there is a section of cribbing still underwater, along with railroad tracks and timber. The water was 66 degrees with 25' visibility, and we still swam around in circles for 30 minutes looking for something so large that is visible from SPACE!!! We *finally* found it because we literally ran into it. It was 12' tall, by 40' long, and 20' wide. How we didn't find this structure sooner baffles us both.
Loving Michigan diving!! We are keeping close tabs on compass headings so that when we return to Michigan next summer, we will know exactly where these underwater sites are.
