Aaarg...I got a guest membership at Trashfest, an event I wouldn't miss! I am a real-life marine biologist at Texas A&M University (the main campus at College Station), a specialist on crabs, shrimps and lobsters. I am one of those "experts" who identify critters for on-line underwater photography groups as well as the "Reef Creatures" books. No, I don't mind if you send me photos. I am a divemaster, certified in 1967 as a teenager and diving ever since. I have over 1200 hours under water. I've been diving in the Gulf of Mexico, of course, also the springs of Florida, the Keys, the Bahamas south to Bonaire, the shipwrecks of North Carolina, British Columbia, California, the Pacific side of Baja, the Gulf of California south to the Galapagos, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia and New Guinea. I hold a scientific diving certification that strongly encourages me to keep my gear and diving ability in good condition by diving at least every 2 months. I often am looking for diving buddies and don't mind diving with "newbies" or folks who need to test some gear. I'm afraid that I must remain a "corresponding "member because I work full time and don't get the chance to go down to Houston all that often.
