Welcome, Brad!! Welcome, Brandon!! We LOVE corrupting new CHUMmers. 
As JPipes said, there is *always* someone ready to jump in the water. We usually post on the website if anyone is planning to jump in the water and looking for others to join in. If you want to get wet, post about it, and you'll have eager CHUMmers CHUM the waters with you. It's a lively group.
Since you are both are looking to do the Spring Lake course with a few more dives under your belt, there is a strong possibility that there might be enough CHUMmers that didn't book the next class we all are doing (it's full now, I think) that there might be another offering later in the summer or early fall for another Spring Lake course. Keep logging those dives! You will LOVE taking the course eventually and diving those clear waters. It is one of the best dive sites in inland Texas.
The next CHUM meeting is not this Thursday, but next week Thursday!! Come on out and meet the crazy bunch of divers we proudly call CHUMmers and close friends. We are all glad you found us, and look forward to meeting you guys!
