Hi I’m Chris and new to the boards and diving. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and am only now just finding my way to it all. I’ve done a discovery dive and am working on my open water cert right now. Looking forward to connecting!

Hello everyone newbies here

The wife and i recently got certified in February after a snorkel/ snuba trip to roatan, and it went down hill from there quick

We were like ehhh we will dive once or twice a year when we go on vacation
YEAH OK

Since then we are now AOW and are working towards our diver master certs.

I’m an extensive world traveler having been to most every major continent except Canada. Too cold.

In our short time as divers we have hit almost every local dive spot and have been able to dive Phuket Thailand, did some wreck dives in Pensacola Fl, we dove an active volcano/ fresh water crater lake in San Salvador El Salvador and an amazing dive recently in the Florida keys.

We are headed to dive Cozumel in November and back to Thailand to dive koh samui in March.

Look forward to meeting every one maybe soon as we are looking to always have dive peeps.

Chepo and my wife Stytch

Hi ElChepo
I lived and worked as a dive master and instructor in Cozumel. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Don't leave Cozumel without diving Yucab, it's such an amazing reef to explore and keep an eye out for the splendid toadfish.

Hi all! New Houston area diver in the Cypress area. Relocated a few months ago and unfortunately been dry for the last 2 years due to relocation and crazy work schedules.

Now that I'm getting settled in, looking for opportunities to get out diving regularly again - any groups going out on the weekends from Houston?

My experience in a nutshell:
- approx. 200 dives in mostly cold water, low-viz conditions (Seattle, San Diego, Great Lakes/quarries in Midwest)
- experience with shore, boat, and liveaboard dives
- 75-100 drysuit dives
- ~30-50 doubles dives
- Avid photography diver
- Relevant certs: PADI Rescue, Nitrox, GUE Fundamentals-Tech Pass

Need some dives to knock the cobwebs off but otherwise willing to get in the water with just about anyone. Still have aspirations to continue down the tech path (regardless of certifying agency).

Look forward to getting to know more of yall!

Welcome @bravokiloromeo. You've found the right place for sure. Poke around our site and be sure to look at the Dive Buddy posts to see who's going where when. And if you want to go somewhere, post it there so buddies can find you.

New member here, Josh, west Houston (Weston Lakes). My wife has her AOW and both my daughters and I just got our OW, diving mostly at Mammoth Lake. My oldest and I have flat-out fallen in love with this sport and are starting the path to Master Scuba Diver together, we're looking at Gigglin' Marlin as our home dive center and dropping in this week to talk gear and AOW for myself and her when she turns 15 in September. We're also headed down to Belize soon with four dives already booked at Ambergris Caye.

Marine Corps vet. Handle's YATYAS, first one to decode what that means in the Corps gets bragging rights.

We'll check in on this Thursday's meeting via Zoom and plan to make the dive meetup next month in person; be on the lookout for a few redheads, lol.

Welcome aboard Josh! I too dive with one of my two daughters; we're dropping by Roatan in September for a week of floating with the fish. Looking forward to meeting you at Jake's!
