I'm a newly certified diver in Katy. 45, single, Daughter 15 is taking her open water this weekend in Travis, an dI'm going to complete my advanced. We're planning a couple trips next year Akamal and cozumel, and I hope to get out to the flower Gardens in the next couple months.

I'm an It Project Manager at BP. I've been consulting there for 10 years and love Houston. I grew up in the water (My dad had a lakehouse and now we do too), skiing, fishing, swim team, and have wanted to use Scuba sine the old b&w episodes of Sea hunt when I was a tyke.

Already making a lot of new friends and diggin it.

G"Day Fellow Divers!

Hi I was intoducded to Chums by Shannon who I introduced to Night diving in Bonaire last April with my Wife Melissa.

My name is Terry (Divedeepbaby) I am a displaced Aussie with no fixed address. I left Oz back in 2000 for the United States and havent looked back. I lived in Houston for 3 years working as a 911 Paramedic for Harris county and teaching EMS at Alvin college. the last 2 years I have been working in Iraq as an Armed Bodyguard/ Paramedic looking after and transporting Dept of State officials around Baghdad.

I am a PADI MSDT been diving since 1983 and since 1997 a Professional Underwater Photo Video Pro. I shoot my video with a Gates Housed Sony PD170 DVCAM Camera with 2 Green force Squid 250 (50wHID) Pro lights. For photo I shoot with a Canon 20D in an Aquatica housing.

I do 2-3 major dive trips per year, next trip is Papua New Guinea next April 08.

Hope to meet up with you all as time goes by.

It was great meeting you last night, hope to see you on some of our CHUM trips. We usually have some good ones. We tend to do more local trips (US/Caribbean) but always manage to find excellent diving and cold beer.

Hi everyone... I'm Mona. I'm lucky enough to have two good friends who introduced me to diving about 4 years ago. We've been pretty loyal to Roatan... I'm working on my free stay at CoCoView - only 3 more to go - but really want to try some new destinations. I got Nitrox certified this past summer - loved it!

You all sure look like, and sound like a BUNCH of fun - hope to meet you soon! Funny stories about the Nitrox tanks at CoCoView this summer that I'll share when we do!

Hello my name is Heidi. Ive always lived in Houston. My first love is horses. I was in swim team as a kid and first year of highschool. (homeschooled the rest) I guess my fathers diving addiction is being passed to me. I have been wanting to learn the pass few years and finally got to do it. So I am very new to this. Did my first dive in South Padre. Was quite a rough one, but did not turn me away!! Cant wait for the next! :cool:

Hello all,
Well I guess I should do this properly. Sorry I was not able to do this earlier, my work keeps me out of things a lot.

Anyway here it goes; I am a Commercial diver and ROV pilot/Tech, Diver Dan told me about this site at one of my classes. My certs include NAUI Master diver/Nitrox and Intro to Tech diving, PADI AOW, and Wreck specialty.

While I am not in Houston very often, for the right dive I would be willing to travel there to go. If anyone plans to go to the Austin area for a dive let me know as I am about to lose my ussual dive buddy will be moving to Seatle the jerk!!!!! Also if anyone out there is trying to get their tech certs let me know since buddy will be lost to me :(
